Xbox One dimming while watching Netflix

Hey, I'm here with this issue too. I get the dimming when watching WatchEspn and other streaming stuff. Hoping for a fix.

 

Hey, guys! If you haven't already, be sure to update your console to the Summer update we did over the weekend. It's not required yet, so you will have to manually update it by going into Settings > All settings > System > Console info & updates.

After that, let us know if it's still happening! We've been told the latest update should resolve this, so we want to make sure that's where you are first. Thanks!

 

I am having the same dimming/screen saver issue. The issue did not start until after the update on 7/31/2016. So is there another fix for me. This is more then just an inconvenience it's costing me money in batteries because the controller never shuts
off on its own an even if it did I still have to turn it on to get the screen right again.

• What apps is this happening in? Specific apps, please.
• Does this happen if you have your controller wired into your console? You can do this with any microUSB to USB cable (like an Android/Windows phone charging cable) to test.
  
• Do you have a Kinect?
• Have you done a hard power cycle on your console? To do that, you will want to hold the power button on your console for 8 seconds until it shuts off, unplug your console from the wall for 5 minutes, and then hook it all back up and plug it back in. Does
  it continue to happen after that?

Let me know these things! We'll want to dig into it further if it's still happening after that power cycle.

 

It seems the latest update has broken much more than it's fixed as I also get this issue with other apps. I don't know if it does the same thing when watching Netflix because Netflix cannot connect anymore after the update.

My xbox has been doing this since the latest update. Updated 8/7/16. Dims while video plays. Approximately every 10 minutes. There is no available update. There is a Kinect, but "hey cortana " is more useless than "Xbox" ever was. Takes at least 5 tries
before she even realizes I've said it. And that's if it reacts at all. Happens to me on Netflix and Amazon video. I don't connect a controller via wire. IMO that is a pointless solution. It's never needed it before.

 

Same issue during netflix. Worked fine yesterday. Hard reset today after rwading this and nothing. This is frwaking ridiculous for the amount of money spent on this thing.

 

Issue just occurred on my XBOX One.

The only difference between yesterday and today:

Uninstalled Halo Master Chief Collection

Uninstalled Eliteangerous

Installed Mass Effect.

 

Having this issue after the latest update now too in the Blu-Ray Player app.

Screen keeps dimming around the time the controller would turn off.

Happens both wired and wireless.

No.

I have tried power cycling, resetting the console keeping games and apps, and uninstalling the Blu-Ray Player app. None of these resolved the issue.

 

Same issue for me, at least while watching netflix. 15 min or so and it dimms until I press a button on the xbox remote
