    Xbox One dimming while watching Netflix


    After about 15 minutes or so the screen dims until the control is reactivated and activated (a button pushed or stick moved). I have seen references to this issue dating back to 2014. I have tried unpluging the console for 30 minutes, resetting the system
    (but keeping games and apps), and yelling at it to stop in a commanding voice but none of these seem to solve the problem.

    Assistance would be very much appreciated.

    I've heard some people saying while watching HBO GO their screen is dimming. Mine is doing that while watching Netflix. Please help!

    The new Xbox screensaver keeps dimming while I'm watching Netflix. It's there anyway to completely disable the screensaver? It's getting incredibly annoying.

    I'm having the exact same issue I've reset my Xbox One. I've fully unplugged it waited for power to turn off from brick then restarted and still the same results. I'm assuming this is from a Xbox One update as this recently just started to appear and I haven't
    had this issue happen before and I haven't changed anything television related.

    I'm glad I found a recent post because all post are back in 2014 for this issue. I'm following in hopes someone can shed some light on this issue.

    I too just started having this issue about 2 days ago. I have not had any updates or anything like that and haven't changed any settings on my own. Just throwing in my 2 cents to keep the thread going and hope a resolution comes out soon. Super pain in the
    *** trying to watch shows/movies right now. Grrrrr

    Follow up from my 6/28 post above. Was watching Netflix last night with no issue whatsoever. No updates came in, no settings adjusted on my own. Weird glitch perhaps? How's everyone else on this so far?

    Netflix dims and lights up continously. Very irritating. Has anyone actually had someone resolve this issue?

    My Xbox dims now too. Hint to Microsoft: videos don't screen burn, and my TV doesn't worry about screen burn-in. There's literally NO NEED for a friggin' screen saver on a console. Let *me* worry about *my* TV, and either remove the dim completely or add
    a toggle to turn it off.
