xbox one dashboard randomly goes black and all i can see is my notifications and guide.

When your console does this can you try pressing LT + RT + Y on your controller as this will refresh the dashboard and you will hopefully get everything back.

Hello I'm having problems with the new update I'm guessing for the new dashboard when I turn my system on the Xbox one screen comes on an load for about 5mins then goes too a black the dashboard doesn't load on my TV I can't see nothing but if I hold the
Xbox guide button It pops up an say shut down console or turn off controller but nothing else comes on my screen it's really unfair that I can't do nothing is there anything I can do to fix this please help me I would appreciate it

Literally going through this issue right now. Tried it all. Many times. I see notifications for low battery and the Xbox welcoming me. But just black screen. Can't even use the guide button.

Unfortunately it's a completely new system both on and under the surface. So I can't see how it would be possible to maintain the same appearance at one of the Xbox 360 dashboards. Even over the lifetime of the Xbox 360, the dashboard changes drastically
as new features were added.

As for your notifications, it's possible to dismiss individual notifications and also clear the entire list as well. If you press Xbox Guide button, cycle over to the settings icon (the gear), then click on "App & system notifications". From here you can
press X to dismiss the highlighted notification, or press Y to clear of them at once.
