    If Cross platform is off, it means anyone outside of Xbox Live will not be able to play with you.

    However, it is important to clarify that depending on the game, you will be able to play with players that own the same version as you (Xbox Series X/S, or the Xbox One version of the game)
    Or instead there is a single server for both versions of a game.
