Xbox One controllers won't power on

Both my Xbox One controllers won't even power on unless connected via a USB cable. The batteries are fine but neither controller will connect wirelessly anymore.

How do I fix this?

I've done a hard reset of the console and updated both controllers and still, they won't work.

When did this issue start to occur?
Try to check for controller updates if there's one available.

To isolate the issue, try to insert new batteries if possible. Please inspect as well if the battery contacts are clean.

Did you try that though ? The newer controllers work in the same way as the older controllers connection wise, bluetooth was added for connecting to a bluetooth enabled PC more than anything.

Thanks for your post. To troubleshoot this, try a soft factory reset. This will keep your games and applications installed but reset the Xbox's operating system to defaults to eliminate any possible issues. Here's how to do so:

Xbox One Factory Reset Be sure to keep your Microsoft account information ready to sign back into your account and choose
"Reset and keep my games & apps" to properly perform a soft factory reset.
