    Xbox one controllers don't accept any form of power


    I have three xbox one controllers: an original controller without the headphone port, one with a headphone port and a bluetooth controller. NONE of them can take any power for more than a few seconds. I have tried multiple sets of brand new out of the package batteries, plugged them into the xbox and my computer, attempted to reconnect the controllers to the xbox (and the bluetooth one to my computer), no dice. The controllers are connected to the console as when I hold the power button the xbox turns on, however the controllers shut down moments later. I cannot attempt to update them as they always shut down before I can get anywhere. Just in case it matters I am using a first gen xbox one and a windows 11 laptop.

    Well thats alright then. I was sorta hoping there might be some secret solution that I missed, but this might be better anyways.

    Edit: Original xbox controller suddenly works again. I don't know if it will last though.

    I don’t like to give bad news but you already tried basically everything from your side, as the controllers doesn’t work even with other devices.

    The best option now is get the controllers inspected if they’re out of warranty in the closest authorized retailer or where original parts are used

    I don't have any means of accessing an XBox one, not that I know of at least. Powering off the PC with the controller plugged in and the powering it back up does nothing. Xbox accessories still can't see the controller, and it appears as XBox One Controller
    DFU in the device manager...

    When you say that you had "no luck" when trying to recover your passwords, what do you mean exactly?

    Is there a error message popping-up once you try to?
