    Xbox one controller


    I Recently purchased a Xbox one, with controller and an additional controller combo and everything has been sweet until today when the headset just stopped working. So I went through the whole, restart/resync, check all the settings etc. and nothing will
    unmute the mic, it actually says cannot find mic in the party settings. So after an hour or so trying everything I tried the second controller and low and behold the headset works perfectly. So my questions are thus:

    1.) is it possible the controller has just gone kaput. In particular the headphone jack? Is this a common issue?

    2.) I have ordered another controller via the site as it is still within the 90 day warranty. What is the process, what happens next? Do they just send a new one and I bin the other or do they request the dodgy controller back?

    Is this an Xbox One controller, or an Xbox 360 controller? If it's an Xbox One controller, are you connecting wirelessly to the PC via Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter?

    Well what kind of controller is this is it the original Xbox one controller or 3.5mm controller? If it is the original Xbox one controller it might be the controller malfunctioning with your Xbox because they are outdated.

    There is no Bluetooth radio component in the Xbox One S console itself.

    The controllers connect to the Xbox One S the same way the controllers connect to the original Xbox One: proprietary RF. You could technically connect an Xbox One S controller to an original Xbox One, and an original Xbox controller to the Xbox One S.

    The Bluetooth functionality in the new Xbox One S controller is specifically made for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC with the "Anniversary" update, which has the drivers needed for the controller when connected via Bluetooth.

    Hi there,

    A 360 controller will work with a 360 console, and an Xbox one controller will work with an Xbox One, but a 360 controller will not work with an Xbox One and vice versa.
