xbox one controller

My xbox one controllers aren't working with either of my headsets. The headsets work on other devices and the controller works on other games. Just not working together. I've tried shutting down the console, making sure the volume is correct , checked
the audio on the xbox. Nothing is working.

Old Xbox controller

If you mean the duke controller, you can't use the original controller. You would need to buy the newer version for the Xbox one which is this

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

If that doesn't work make sure the headsets are compatible with the Xbox One.

On the networking side, if your NAT type is moderate or strict then you would come across this issue as well. This link will help in that situation :

Thanks I will try that when i get home. They are compatible because they both used to work but now they don't.

 

One headset is a Turtle Beach and the other is RIG . they both worked and now they don't .

What type of Turtle Beach headset is being used (Chat or Stereo)? Are both the headset and

controller updated? When the headset is plugged in is there a muted mic on the dashboard? Does it pop up with a message saying "can't find a microphone for these people"? Also, under System -> Settings -> Kinect & Devices -> Devices &Accessories -> … ,
does it show a Connected Headset and Volume available?

If the controller have all the updates then maybe the controller is done already!!
