xbox one controller works for some games and not for others on windows 10

Hi my xbox one controller works fine on a few games but on others it will freeze on the last input for example on assassins creed it will keep me running on a straight light or on a racing game when i go round a corner it will lock on the turn and i start
doing doughnuts. ive tried many fixes but nothing seems to help.

If you can press the Xbox button to bring up Game Bar then your controller is working fine and you will need to contact the developer for support as it is an in-game issue.

You could see if there are any Controller updates available by opening the Xbox Accessories app then click the three dots (...) under you controller then click on "firmware version" then Update Now.

Hi i did all that and there were no updates for the controller. I have also searched and cant see anyone with similar problems that my controller works fine then a couple of seconds in the input freezes on last command.

It works perfectly fine with Windows 10 - it just isn't recognized by the Xbox app for some odd reason - all other games work perfectly fine. Windows 10 sees it as a 360 controller according to the device manager as well.

No, you are part of the problem. Stop saying its a driver issue. The drivers are fine and all controllers work for other games apart from the xbox app. Please stop with this nonsense.

The controller will work for games that support it. Considering these are games that were developed for Xbox One and Windows 10 simultaneously, with cross-purchase and, in some cases, cross-play in mind, that should mean most, if not all, of them will support
a controller for input.
