XBox one controller won't connect to Windows 10 pc.

I have a xbox one wireless controller I use as a mouse on the pc. I have Cerebral Palsy and find the xbox one controller easy to use for me. I have used a wired one and it worked well but wanted the freedom of a wireless controller. It worked for a week
or two but now it won't connect indicated by a blinking light. Tried rebooting the pc and updating the firmware of the controller using Xbox Accessories and a micro usb connection, but Xbox Accessories says to connect a Controller. I tried other suggestions
in this and other forums w/o success. Tried it with another pc and it does pair but it just keeps on blinking. I also tried removing the controller from the pc and re-pairing and it still had the blinking....

This thing worked at one time w/o a problem for a week or so but something happened. Anyone have any ideas? Could the controller have gone bad?

controller work when it is connected to your PC through the USB port? Also, if you haven't already done so, may I suggest double checking "How

Thank you for the reply. But it is asking for an XBox console to register but I don't have one. Is there a way to register just the controller?

Hello my friend. You actually might be having an issue with the software programmed to your controller. More than likely if it still blinks after its already paired it might have an issue staying connected. See if you can pair it to an Xbox console to see
if it triggers any updates. Other than that you might also want to try rebooting your network in your home for 5 min. see if there's any change but you might have to just replace that controller.
