Xbox One Controller won't connect over USB. Light keeps blinking

I have a Windows 11 computer and a Xbox One controller I'm trying to connect to it. It's the original Xbox One controller, no bluetooth, not usb-c, old micro-usb. It was working just a few months ago, and now when I try to use it the light keeps blinking. Xbox Accessories doesn't even detect that it's there.

I've deleted the Xbox Controller drivers numerous times and it does not fix the issue.

The driver was updated in September, is there a way I can roll it back and get the older driver?

Is there something else I can do?

    :)

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

It sounds like there may be a problem with the connection between the controller and the computer.

Try using a different micro-USB cable to see if the current cable is the problem.

Check the USB port on the computer to make sure it's functioning properly. You can try connecting a different device to the port to see if it works.

Make sure the controller is properly charged. If the battery is low, the controller may not be able to establish a connection.

Try resetting the controller. To do this, hold down the Xbox button on the controller until it turns off, then unplug the controller from the computer. Wait a few seconds, then plug the controller back in and turn it on by pressing the Xbox button.

If none of these steps help, you may need to update the controller's firmware. To do this, you will need to connect the controller to an Xbox One console with a USB cable and update the controller through the console.

I hope these suggestions help you fix the problem with your controller.

Is there a way to update the firmware without the xbox? Mine is not in a place that is accessible to me.

Xbox one controller not connecting to Xbox Wireless Adapter for win10

Summary: I fixed it by plugging USB cable into a controller and pc, win 10 recognized it, system restart was required and after that controller was working wirelessly also.

Longer description: I installed fresh windows 10, downloaded and installed all win updates, then I tried all these steps and at the end controller started working.

    1) plugged wireless adapter into USB windows 10 recognized it but Xbox one controller won't connect (keep on blinking)

    2) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port but Xbox one controller won't connect (keep on blinking)

    3) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port started task manager removed Xbox one adapter, windows found it again but still noting (gamepad keep on blinking)

    4) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port (front) started task manager removed Xbox one adapter and Xbox drivers, windows found it again installed it but still noting (gamepad keep on blinking)

    5) FINALLY, I fixed it by plugging USB cable into a controller and pc, win 10 recognized it, system restart was required and after that controller was working wirelessly also.

Problème sur la console [Translation-Problem on the console]

    Hi Killian,

If the controller is not connecting either wireless or with a USB cable, then it could be possible the controller is not functioning properly since it should automatically connect with a cable. The only way to figure out if the console or controller is the
issue is to further test other controllers on that same console, or try to connect that same controller to another Xbox.

Usually the hard reset and power cycle resolves this issue but if it didn't for you, then it could be a hardware problem. If the controller does not connect to the Xbox One console using USB then try connecting to a Windows PC and see if it is detected and
can connect. This way you can also check if the controller needs an update.

When you press the sync button on the console, the Xbox light will blink on the console indicating it is searching for a controller. Then press the sync button on the controller and the Xbox light on the controller will start blinking and then become solid
once it's paired to the Xbox.
