Xbox One controller with usb problem

My Xbox One controller doesn't recognize a usb because when i plug it in my PC, an outlet, my Xbox it doesn't even light up or do anything. I tried updating the drivers but in my PC the controller didn't show up anywhere. I did try using another usb cable
but still, didn't work...

. The problem is that my xbox one says "there is no controller via USB. Control that the USB cabel is in the console and the controller, then try again."

But there is a usb cabel in the console and the controller! I've tried different usb cabel.

The cabel works, but only when it comes to charging the battery. Nothing else.

Sorry to hear you are having this problem.

Have you tried connecting the controller with a USB cable?

If you have a micro-USB cable or the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit, you can connect your controller by using the micro-USB cable and do without batteries.

Restarting your console and controller might correct the connection issue.

Please try not using the USB hub and use a direct USB to USB to your PC for the xbox one controller.

Otherwise, the warranty for the xbox one controller does not cover accidental damage. You will have to buy a new one if there's a problem here.

As for the xbox 360 controller, the play and charge kit does not make it a USB controller, that device only transfers power, not data - even though it shows up on device manager. You will need the Xbox 360 wireless receiver for windows for that to work,
or a purely wired xbox 360 controller.

As for the USB hub having issues, please uninstall it from the device manager and reboot and see if it gets the drivers reinstalled.

Have same problem with "Xbox one controller for windows 10". Buy it, put in usb port, update from "Xbox accessories" and controller does not working.
