    Xbox one controller with sharp edges at mating edges on sides


    Easy as Apple pie. Get rid of these sharp edges yourself. Just protect the unit with painters tape on edge causing issue then masking tape ziplock baggie over unit and tape to the painters tape you just put on. Both sides of sharp edge area. leaving only the edge you desire to smooth open to the air and to eliminate any dust contamination ; smooth edge using medium fine and fine of multi side nail file. I taped lower edge flush and top side and was taped approx .0020 inch back. File edge as desired approx 10 deg to 30 deg chamfer., it’s kind of like working on a Rolex ! Very careful Clean off all debris. Open zip lock from sealed side carefully removing controller then remove attaching tape and whalah. Mine took about 35 minutes as I had everything here near my desk. Much faster this way than trying to find a perfect controller. . This makes for a near perfect game ! Have a great one !

    Newer remotes seem to be of much better build quality than the early Day One remotes like mine. The flex I had in my D1 was noticeable upon unboxing, however in its credit it has taken just over a year (right after console itself had an expired warranty
    but long after the 90day access warranty) before thr right thumbstick began giving trouble and now today the RB has completely failed.

    Solution so far? Buy a new remote...

    I have the same issue too with my day one controller. Not the end of the world, but not ideal either. I have a feeling that if I use it for a while it might start to hurt my hand
