Xbox One controller will not connect wirelessly

    Xbox One controller will not connect wirelessly


    Hi,

    I have an Xbox one controller and my computer is updated to 1809.

    I read through all the current forum posts and have tried each thing suggested.

    1. Update the controller through usb connection.

    I did, and it worked through usb, but I need it to be wireless. The current driver date is Septemer 8th, 2018.

    2. Make sure you are on anniversary edition at least.

    I am on the October 2018 update, so check.

    3. Try adding it to the bluetooth section by choosing "add a bluetooth device" or "everything else".

    None of those worked.

    I followed the instructions, "Turn on the controller until it blinks slowly, then hold the button on the front for 3 seconds and release to connect".

    I have connected controller before, but this one doesn't want to work.

    Any ideas on what to do or what might be causing it?

    Is this an Xbox One controller, or an Xbox 360 controller? If it's an Xbox One controller, are you connecting wirelessly to the PC via Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter?

    yes you connect Xbox one controller to a Pc, wirelessly or cable, but to play xbox games on ur PC you need to connect controller via micro usb cable.
