Xbox One Controller vibrate gets stuck

This issue happens with all games that I've tried so far. (Gears of War 4, Gears of War UE, Rocket League and Dark Souls 3.)

Basically almost every other time the controller vibrates, it gets stuck vibrating until it vibrates again and stops. I have an elite controller and a brand new regular xbox one controller, both have the same issue so I am assuming it's driver related. I've
tried uninstalling the controller multiple times through device manager, I've uninstalled Xbox Accessories, reinstalled video drivers, usb drivers and nothing seems to fix the issue. I've tried using the wireless xbox one adapter and wired, happens with both.
Nothing on my PC is overclocked, this is a relatively fresh Windows install (1-2months)

Asus z97 wifi pro ac

Intel i7 4790k

16gb Corsair Vengeance (2 8gb sticks)

evga gtx 1080 ftw hybrid

Samsung 960 evo 256gb nvme and a PNY 512gb ssd.

Corsair AX860

Windows 10 Pro Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.165)

Xbox One controller driver version is 10.0.17134.1

Xbox crashing after 5 minutes of playing

No, nothing, it just freezes and sometimes the controller just keeps vibrating and the sound gets stuck until I restart the Xbox.

Hi, have you updated the controller's firmware? It might fix the issue with the vibration.

 

Thanks for the reply, yes I've tried updating the controllers firmware through Xbox accessories and it says it's on the latest firmware. Ive come to the conclusion that it's an issue with the new cumulative windows update (1803). I installed a second version
of Windows that was a bit older just to test things and it didn't have the vibration issue. Something breaks with the update.

 

I would like to jump into this problem. Brand new Elite Controller on Win10 latest build and updates. Same problem on several games. Please advise!
