    Xbox One Controller Turns Off Without Warning


    Every time I turn on the controller, it stays on for about 5 seconds before it shuts off again. New batteries don't help. USBs don't help. USBs
    and new batteries do let it stay on but that's a recipe for disaster cause you're not supposed to charge them. I did try going to the support page with the digital assistant but your YouTube link for a supposed video is unavailable... Probably not intentional.
    Any help asap would be amazing... It's the siege free weekend and I have been waiting months for it

    You can simply press and hold the XBox icon button in the middle of the controller and it will give you three options: Turn Off Console, Turn Off Controller or Cancel. When you select Turn Off Controller, you may still get the 'Reconnect Controller' warning.

    There's a new way to turn off controllers

    You now can turn off controllers without using the xbox menu. Double tap and hold the controller and wait 2 seconds and it turns off.

    Sorry to hear it. Are you able to try a different USB cable? What type of batteries are you using? If they're rechargeable then perhaps they're losing their charge.

    I understand that you're having issues with a particular game kicking you out back to the menu.

    Is this only happening with the one game?

    It sounds like it may have been an issue with an update within the actual game.

    Especially if you're only experiencing that issue with one game and not any other games that you own.

    I would suggest
    Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Game     . Once the game has been reinstalled, let us know

    if the issue is resolved.

    The xbox collects dust overtime so my opinion is it needs to be cleaned from the inside or the power supply cord is in a spot where it can't breathe.
