Xbox One Controller replacement and Controller buttons being soft ?

The most common reason that I've had to replace my controllers was because the either control sticks got jammed or the " A " button wasn't working properly anymore.

With that being said, do you guys realized that the most abused button on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers are the " A " buttons LOL

In this support thread, it mentions a possible controller replacement. I could imagine how annoying it could be to replace a controller for just one button and if you think it's the Xbox that is causing this issue, perhaps you could borrow a friends controller
and see if the A button works on that with your Xbox. If It does, it will be your controller and I'd advise a replacement.

Hi ,try cleaning the eject and power buttons on the console with a soft dry cloth. sometimes dirty fingerprints can set off the touch sensitive buttons. Also check that you don't have a controller/guitar hero controller somewhere with a button being constantly
pressed.

Try to press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds, until the controller turns off.

Then, wait a few seconds, then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.

If the issue persists, I would recommend replacing the controller batteries with fresh ones and make sure they’re inserted correctly into the controller!

I find the 360 controllers to be very durable, I have only had to replace one in 8 years (Buttons started to stick, loose control sticks). I also like how PS3 controllers are with being charged via the console and can be played while plugged in. Having to
deal with replacing batteries, especially if you game alot gets tiring.
