    Xbox One controller on PC Suddenly stops working


    Hi!

    This controller im using is connected with micro-usb to my PC laptop.

    My controller just stops working and I have to replug it. After a while this happens again.

    i.e. On a driving-game the steering gets stuck and stops responding the controller.

    Here's a list what I have tried to solve the problem:

    • Tried different cables
    • Tried to check for updates to the driver both from device manager and by googling
    • Switched the driver to Microsoft Xbox One Controller from device manager
    • The controller works fine when playing on Xbox One console
    • Runned Lenovo Solution Center and Lenovo Diagnostics Tools
    Running out of ideas. I've searched with every keywords in google I can think of. And I have already tried the suggestions that I found.

    Is this common issue and how do I fix it?

    Xbox One controller on PC Suddenly stops working

    I'm having similar issues with my xbox one controller connected through usb on my windows 10 pc. The controller just stops working mid-game. If I alt-tab out and into the program is starts working again but quickly stop working. When testing the buttons
    using the xbox accessories app - test mode shows no buttons being pressed. Not sure what's going on. Let me know if you found a solution. Thanks.

    Yeah I've thought to get myself an adapter. However sometimes I can play a longer period of time before running to this issue. So I just wonder what could be causing this?
