    Xbox one controller not working after firmware update


    My X-box one controller was working fine with my PC both wired and wireless-ly. Today i used the windows Microsoft accessories app and tried to update the firmware. The update completed successfully.

    However post the update my x-box controller fails to turn on. It is switching off on it's own. I am able to still use it when i connect viz. USB but I am unable to use it wireslessly now. Please help on this issue. The current firmware version is 4.8.1923.0.
    Please let me know if there is any way to roll back the firmware version.

    I am having the exact same issue. I was using my controller via Bluetooth and tried to plug in a headset but the audio wasn't coming through. I did a quick google search and found that the audio jack doesn't support audio over Bluetooth but does with the
    Xbox Wireless Adapter. I plugged in my wireless adapter, clicked sync on it and my controller but it wouldn't find it. I decided to see if there was a firmware update that might correct the issue so I launched the accessory app and sure enough I was currently
    on version 3 something but there was an updated to version 4.8.1923.0. I clicked update, it got to 100% and was updated without issue. I then disconnected my controller from USB and it instantly shut off. I press the XBOX button for a second and the light
    comes on and then instantly cuts off. If I hold down the XBOX button it will just keep flashing until I release it then instantly cuts off. It no longer shows as discoverable by any Bluetooth device I previously used it on (main windows 10 desktop, windows
    10 in boot-camp on my mac, or on my iphone 11). If I plug the controller back in via USB then it works perfectly fine. Unplug it and its basically a paper weight.

    There is definitely an issue with this firmware update that needs to be addressed.

    Hey there, I spoke to tech support and they told me to send the device across. Once they verify the issue they have agreed to provide me with a new controller.
