Xbox One Controller Not Turning On, Any Help?

if im getting what your are at is that the AV cords only work on one xbox? then try this on the one that don't work:

Reset XBOX 360 Video Output

Remove any discs from the disc tray.

Turn off the console.

Turn on the console.

If you are using a wireless controller turn on the console by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller (Make sure you use the player1 controller)

Once the controller has turned on press and hold the Y button whilst pulling the right trigger.

The Console will automatically reboot and video settings will be returned to defaults.

My wireless xbox controller will turn my xbox console (xbox one s) on, but will not operate the console after it is on. This started as I was playing and walked away from the xbox console with the controller in my hand. I cannot get the controller to connect to, or control, the xbox either wirelessly or with a USB-C cable attached. Also, this controller will not turn the console off. This controller may be 8-12 weeks old. I have a second controller that will turn on, operate and turn off the console, but it will not hold the horizontal so I can't use it. (This is at least the 3rd or 4th controller I've had to buy.)

thanks for your help. It turned out that my PC didnt recognize my controller as a xbox one controller so a delete and readd helped.

-Nothing happens, controller will not turn off.
