  1. Xbox One Controller not connecting via usb cable to computer, not showing up in bluetooth...

I have this controller from my friend's Xbox One. This controller powers on, but for some reason does not show up in Bluetooth devices on my PC or my phone. If I try to connect the controller via USB cable to my pc, the Xbox controller seems to not respond with anything. Windows does not even recognize that i plugged something in. I tried 5 different micro usb cables, i tried 3 different phones and 1 other computer, I got no results.

My PC is running Windows 11 Home Edition, the other PC is running Windows 10 Home Editon

    :)

XBox controller disconnects from PC or stops responding

Hi Keith, There are two ways to connect an Xbox controller to a PC: with a USB cable or via Bluetooth.

    Connect with a USB cable

Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port on your PC.

Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on your Xbox controller.

The controller should automatically connect to your PC.

    Connect via Bluetooth

Make sure your Xbox controller and PC have Bluetooth.
    Activate Bluetooth on your PC.

Press and hold the pairing button on the Xbox controller for 3 seconds.

The controller should appear in the list of Bluetooth devices on your PC.

Select the Xbox controller from the list and click "Connect."

Let me know if the information is still useful.

    Sincerely,
    Marvina.

    Greetings.

The Elite V1 does not support bluetooth. It can only connect to a computer using an Xbox Wireless USB Adapter stick, and that's what the sync button on the controller is for. You can however still use the controller via USB cable.

Adaptateur sans fil Xbox pour Windows 10

No, not necessarily. The Xbox One Wireless adapter has extra functionality, but for basic wireless use you can connect via Bluetooth. If your PC doesn't have Bluetooth a BT dongle can be purchased for less than $10/€7.

Note that the Xbox One controllers can also be connected via USB cable. The Xbox One uses a Micro USB cable, Series X controllers are USB C.

XBOX One not working on Windows 10

    Hi,

I recently bought a new laptop and a new xbox one controller.

The Xbox One is connected via bluetooth, I've updated the xbox one controller using a USB C cable on the xbox accessories app.

However when I unplug the USB cable, the controller (still connected to the PC via bluetooth) does not work i.e. it is still connected and the bluetooth is recognised but when I try play a game (ubisoft ghost recon breakpoint), although the analogue sticks work, the other buttons (A,X,Y,B) do not work.
After the newest driver update for the controllers, I'm having issues too, I can only get it to work if I use the USB as well, The controller shows "connected" and shows the battery life etc, But no longer opens Game bar, Hopefully someone can report this to Microsoft.

My Xbox Controller doesn't work anymore with Windows 10 PCs

    Dunno what happened today.

I first started to test the controller with a USB connection to the first Windows 10 computer I ever used it with. With no batteries in the controller (just forgot I had removed the batteries). It worked.

Then I disconnected the USB cable, but batteries back in, and connected the controller via Bluetooth: it worked.

Then I removed the pairing from that computer, and connected via Bluetooth to another computer. It worked.

Again, removed the pairing and paired again with the original computer. It still worked.

    Black magic?
