Xbox One controller left stick forward reduced response

My Xbox 360 pad which is about 4 Month old has the above issue. It started within a few weeks of getting it but went away again. It came back around a month ago. I can get it to work if I push on the stick very very hard but in most games the only way
to run is in a zig zag pattern using forw left and forw right. I've seen a lot of threads about these issues with left stick but microsoft keep locking them down to prevent them getting too big. So, I'm guessing they know what this issue is and if they do
they should issue a recall and refund. I've bought a new pad which so far works perfectly, but then I've only had it two days and the other one lasted a couple of weeks before going wrong. If this one also develops the same problem then I will return both
to microsoft. BTW I've connected the new one to the same usb port on my pc so I think the software that some people think this may be is not the issue.

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue concerning your controller.

I would say that if the troubleshooting outlined in our
Xbox One Wireless Controller Solution did not help out with that, then it might be in need of replacement.

Give those steps a shot and let us know how that helped.

Probably a faulty controller, I'd your xbox is still under warranty you can go to device service and repair.

most games have a setting where it allows you to change the deadzone sesitivity. id play around with that. see if it helps

It isn't the deadzone ! It happens with all games, it doesn't happen with my new controller (yet) many other people are having issues with left stick on XBone controllers. I've been a gamer for many years and have experienced dead zone issues before, this
is not a dead zone issue.
