Try to connect it via Bluetooth or USB cable whichever works. I also suggest to try a different controller to isolate the issue.

Hi Eddie. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. Believe me, if I were on your situation, I would feel the same way.

Unfortunately, the MOGA XP5-X Plus is a bluetooth controller for mobile & cloud gaming for Android/PC only that works on bluetooth or USB connection. It doesn't really work on Xbox consoles for cloud gaming.

Have you tried playing cloud gaming on PC or Android if your controller works fine?

Explain doing something I shouldn't? I go to the store and purchase a controller and Bluetooth adapter, hook it up (plug and play) and I should be able to play any Xbox cloud game on PC. I have downloaded them for PC, so why isn't my controller working in the games, but works fine on steam?

Like I said, everything was working fine until I connected my said controller to my Xbox one to update it so I could play Rock Band 4 on my console. Then the next day controller is connected to my PC, but not responding to any Xbox game pass games (for PC) unless I have the USB cable plugged in. Makes no sense to me.

When a cord is connected to the Xbox One controller it turns off the wireless function to work as a wired controller. Because of this the suggestion of using a USB wall charger
WILL NOT work.

The only way that you can use your Xbox One Controller on a W10 PC and play Xbox whilst charging the controller at the same time is to stream the game to your PC with the Xbox App if your PC meets the minimum requirements for it. If you don't want to do
this then the only thing to do is just connect a USB directly from your Xbox to your controller

No that is not possible to connect a controller to your PC through your console. You will need the Xbox 360 wireless USB receiver for windows or buy a pure wired USB xbox 360 controller (microsoft and 3rd party ones available and all will work).

The play and charge USB cable for xbox 360 controllers does not make a wireless controller wired as it only transfers power and not data.

You could buy an xbox one wireless controller that is newer and has bluetooth and connect it to your PC directly as seen on this page: :

You can also use an xbox one wireless controller of any type (with or without bluetooth) with a Micro USB cable on a PC as well. THAT wire does make the xbox one wireless controller act as a wired controller while connected via Micro USB.
