Xbox One controller fighting with keyboard on Game Pass for PC

My controller and keyboard fight for input. "Grounded" for instance: I press the A button just to watch it togle from the A graphic to the Keyboard binding (I forget which key it shows), and it just rapidly blinks between the two and doesn't do execute any commands. If I try to move forward with the game pad, it moves forward a little bit and then displays the keyboard key to move forward. This is only a problem with Game Pass. Microsoft games bought separately do not have ths problem, nor does anything from Steam, UbiSoft, Epic, etc. Drivers are up to date, I've tried tying in with a wire and wirelessly with a combination of one old Xbox controller and 2 different newer xbox controllers with the same result. I've atached a picture of the menu from No Mans Sky, and although you cant tell in the image, if it was a .gif you would see the left arrow showing the circle blinking but not moving, and the right arrow showing the pic of the left mouse button constantly flashing the green "A" button in its place. I've even tried disconnecting my keyboard and that didn't work. Please help! Some of the games i have a problem with so far are:

Death Standing,

No Man's Sky

Life is Strange 2

Found a work around on another site. All I had to do was install the "Xbox Accessories" app from the Microsoft store. Just opened and closed the app and that was all it took.

could be possible, with the addition of keyboard and mouse it is very possible that several PC games reach xbox, even games that are already in the catalog of xbox adapt their controls so that you choose the one you like most with control or keyboard.

the original Xbox only came with a controller. the Xbox 360 only came with a controller. the Xbox One comes with a controller. you can't buy an Xbox One with a Keyboard and Mouse.
in my opinion if they don't sell them with a Keyboard and Mouse they shouldn't have support for Keyboard and Mouse. if you want to use
Keyboard and Mouse you should play on a PC and not on a console.

Hi Josef,

I’m playing on windows 11 pc, the Xbox store version (pc game pass), any other game I play will always switch the displayed controls to keyboard when I use the keyboard/mouse, and so far I have been unable to find anybody with the same issue as me. I have attempted to troubleshoot myself by tinkering with the control settings, but nothing works for me.

Okay thank you very much, I have one small question when it comes to streaming. If i were to stream an Xbox 360 game from an Xbox One to my Windows PC, would I be able to control that streamed game with my mouse and keyboard as opposed to a controller while
on my Windows PC playing the streamed game?

No, only controller. You can't use mouse and keyboard in this fashion for any games over xbox one streaming.
