Xbox one controller drops connection; no blinking lights

Im having an issue with controller connectivity. Assuming the controller connects and powers on the console i lose connectivity anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes of operation. Its not a battery issue (fresh AA’s). When i lose connection the contollers
home light stays constant like its still connected but the console is unresponsive. The console is still operating and i can use the remote function in the xbox app to navigate. The only way to get it to connect again is to hard shur down the console, connect
the remote via micro usb, power on the console and it usually connects but i still get the same issue. Does anybody have any idea whats causing this? The controller has the latest firmware and ive done a full console restore and update, still no luck. Last
resort ill bring it to the microsoft store.

I have this problem before, conected it to a new console and reconected back to mine seemed to do the job

How long have you had the controller? I presume you've tried resync it again?

Ive had it roughly 5 years, 6 in december. It was part of the assasins creed bundle sold october 2014. Ive tried re syncing. When you press the button on thw top of the remote the logo quicky flashes briefly then acts like its connected. However, the console
logo doesnt blink. In fact its like the sync button on the console doesnt work at all.

How long have you had the controller? I presume you've tried resync it again?

It might be the controller you would have to test it on a friends or familys console to test it
