xbox one controller disconnection - please help asap

starting a few days ago, my controller would not stay connected to the console. as of yesterday, i bought a new controller thinking that it was the controller that was the issue. every kind of way/technique that is available for connecting a controller to my xbox has been tried and the batteries are absolutely not the problem so im wondering if there is a problem with my xbox console. im not sure how wireless controllers connect to the xbox but i feel there must be a sensor and with that, now a sensory issue. i have had this xbox for years now with no problem so maybe the age of the console has something to do with it but i have been through multiple controllers for different reasons. i am also within range to my console with the controller and never used to have an issue at all. as i have said, every way i have googled to try and sort this disconnection issue has been tried as i have reset the console entirely twice, powered it all down multiple times and used a usb for connection but i cannot now use the wireless without a usb. i have looked into this for hours and i cant imagine ive missed anything other than someone very clever who knows it all which i am not.

when i try to comnnect the controller without the usb, it vibrates twice and then turns off. all problems linked to that do not work either and the longest i have had wireless has been 30 minutes from a successful connection. please help.

    :)
