    Xbox one controller disconnected from PC and won't reconnect [Solved]


    As the subject states, my Xbox one controller disconnected from my PC randomly during a game and it won't reconnect. I've tried to update the drivers for it and it says everything is up to date. When I go to bluetooth settings it won't let me remove the device. I've removed the device via device manager but that did not resolve the connection issue nor me being able to remove the device from my bluetooth settings. I went to the control panel and tried to remove "HID-compliant game controller" but get the same error message that appears in my bluetooth settings. I've googled around and tried to resolve this issues by looking at similar questions on this site and other sites and cannot find an answer for my problem. Is there any solution to this besides hardwiring a controller connection? I'm on windows 11, also my bluetooth on/off toggle has disappeared. I've ran a troubleshoot on my bluetooth and it says my computer no longer has bluetooth capabilities? Bluetooth is hidden in my device manager.

    Yeah, I’ve connected other devices via Bluetooth and my controller was connected to this pc until it randomly disconnected. I’ve ran an sfc scan and DISM scan too but didn’t fix it. My next step would be a hard reset of my pc but I would prefer not to do that.

    How old is the computer? Iv had an issue like that before and it was solved by using a much newer laptop.
