  1. Xbox One controller didn’t finish update, completely unresponsive

Long story short, my extra controller wouldn’t sync with my OG XB1.

So I plugged it in via Micro USB, and it vibrated/started the update process.

It got to 46%, then said “Could not complete update. Please try again. Your controller may be unresponsive for a few moments.”

It’s fully unresponsive. Put batteries in, the Xbox button just blinks. Plug it in via USB, it just blinks. The console doesn’t recognize it, and I can’t find the controller in the Accessories portion of settings.

How do I go about recovering this controller? Is it completely bricked? I searched forums for an hour with no avail.

Again, it powers on via USB and batteries. It actually WILL NOT shut off once it has a power source, just blinks.

    :)

    Update via PC

Update your controller on a Windows 10 PC by using the Xbox Accessories app:

    1. Get the app from Microsoft Windows 10 by searching for "Xbox Accessories."
    2. Launch the Xbox Accessories app.
    3. Connect your Xbox One Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.

Note You'll be prompted to update to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition if you haven't yet done so.
    4. When the controller is connected, you'll see the message Update Required if an update is mandatory. Install the update.

Note You can also go to Device Info to check for an update.

I’ve done everything every forum and Microsoft forum has offered.

I would not be asking this forum for help if it was resolved.

    This controller is completely bricked.

I’m looking for a way to unbrick it. I have done every single thing every forum has suggested. But like I posted, plugging it in it simply flashes, and with batteries it flashes; unresponsive.
