With my controller less than a year old, the USB port on it has completely died. Tried switching to the built-in bluetooth but I have >1sec latency more often than not, making it a brick. Tried contacting support but they dropped my call like a hot potato.

How do I go about getting my controller replaced for a manufacturing defect like this given the **** treatment I've already been given?

    :)

    Xbox controller connection problems

Sadly, using the Xbox One controllers on PC via Bluetooth has been met with some issues. Bluetooth, while it works is spotty.

Have you tried to disable Bluetooth in Windows 10, and then turning it back on? I've had this issue in the past and once I've done this, I was able to use my controller again. Give that a try. Also, if I may recommend that you see about picking up the Windows
10 Xbox One wireless adapter. I say this I use this instead of Bluetooth on my Windows 10 PCs. That way I can use my Xbox One Elite controller nad no encounter the Bluetooth issues that have been reported.

    Game audio through stereo headset?

No. The voice connector on the Xbox One controller is a proprietary input. Keep this in mind, though: both Nintendo and MS are using proprietary wireless protocols for their controllers that increase bandwidth and reduce latency. Sony is still relying on
Bluetooth, which is spotty. I would not base the PS4 experience on the Wii U experience with this information in mind. I would be worried because I have a good Bluetooth speaker and a tablet, and the quality is not great (certainly not as good as when I use
    a wired connection).

    Hello Carbon,

Thanks for posting on the forums. Best way to tell if the controller is Bluetooth or not.

On Bluetooth-supported controllers, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the face of the controller. On controllers without Bluetooth, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the top, where the bumpers are. Here is a

    link to page I found
on support there a picture showing the difference.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Hello welcome to the forum! You can try this:

    Bluetooth

Xbox One Wireless Controllers may support connecting to your PC via Bluetooth. Your controller has this feature if it looks like the one on bottom in this illustration:

On Bluetooth-supported controllers, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the face of the controller. On controllers without Bluetooth, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the top, where the
    bumpers are.

    Hi,

I'm afraid not, it's a limitation of using Bluetooth to connect the controller to a PC:
