    Xbox one controller bluetooth pin or passkey issue - SOLVED


    There have been a issue with connectin Android phone to a Xbox one controller via bluetooth. Problem is that while trying to connect the controller a error message pops up saying "incorrect pin or passkey". During connecting you can't put in any pincode
    or anything. Solution is to force bluetooth pin with third party app. I used a app called "bluetooth force pin" app. It automaticly sets bluetooth pin to be 0000. In the app. It shows the controller and when you hit that it says "error" but when you go back
    to phones bluetooth settings it connects the controller with no problems whatsoever. Hope this helps somebody to get you gaming on xCloud or console streaming =)

    So I tried to connect my xbox one s wireless controller with Bluetooth on my android device but everytime a message was coming up saying "Incorrect PIN or passkey has been entered" but I have never entered any Pin or Passkey. Any way to fix it?

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are trying to connect via Bluetooth. There is no pin for controllers Bluetooth. Here is a

    guide for connecting controllers    . Look at the picture to see which controller you have. The bottom design is Bluetooth.

    Are you sure it's not asking for the Windows user account passkey ?

    According to Microsofts own instructions it should not ask for a passkey when connecting the Xbox controller over Bluetooth.

    I would not recommend Bluetooth in the first place, it is too finicky and unreliable, if you can return the BT adapter and just buy Microsofts own USB Xbox wireless receiver, that uses the native wireless function of the controller, it should just work automatically.

    but the problem is still unsolved, i tried updating drivers of both bluetooth adapter and xbox controller still the same problem.

    i think the problem is my bluetooth adapter is version 5.0. that may be the reason.

    And in my brother's laptop it didn't ask any pin, it connected normally without any issue.

    Even in my desktop it wont ask for any pin. it will directly shows that error saying " check pin and try connecting again".

    please if anyone have bluetooth v5.0 and using the controller with that, confirm it works fine?
