Xbox one controller Bluetooth interference with Bluetooth headset on iPad Pro

I recently purchased an iPad Pro 11 2020 edition and I tried connecting my Xbox one s controller to my iPad and it seamlessly worked. I was able to play games like Fortnite with the controller without any problems. However, when I tried connecting
my AirPods to my iPad to use for in game audio, every time I pressed a button on my controller, there would be some interference with the audio on my AirPod. As the airpods and Xbox controller have different profiles, I didn’t expect them to cause any interference
between one another’s Bluetooth connections. Thinking that the airpods were the problem, I purchased a Bluetooth headset and connected it to my iPad and checked the in game audio. Still the same problem persisted and the audio cut out... I really don’t know
what to do and I am pretty sure there is some bug in the Bluetooth software for the Xbox controller. Also apple has assured me that there is no problem with the ipads software. What should i do?

I have gone ahead and done the same with Apple support. I tried two different headsets including airpods, multiple different controllers and tbe issue still occurred. It did not happen with my 2016 ipad pro which was on ios13.5. It also didnt happen on my
iphone 7 plus which was on 13.5 too. The controller interference also happened when i used youtube in addition to fortnite and jetpack joyride which definitely means it is a bluetooth hardware or software issue on apple’s part. I found a temporary solution
by purchasing a dongle adapter between 3.5 mm jack and usb c to plug in my wired headphones to the ipad pro. They told me they are now looking into a solution to the issue though. Below is a screenshot of their email. Ill let you know what they say to me too.

I'm actually working with Apple support on this now. Same issue -- Xbox One Bluetooth controller (1708) when paired to an iPad Pro 2020 4th Gen (13.5.1) causes the audio to cut out on headphones also connected to the iPad, when a button is pressed. I've
already gone through the motions with them: 2 different Bose headsets, 2 generic Bluetooth earbuds, Air Pods, and 4 different Xbox controllers all result in the same issue.

When I create the same pairings to an iPhone XS, everything is fine, so I'm assuming it's not the controller or headphones.

I'll post back when I hear more from them, in case anyone else is having the issue (which I assume they would be).
