    about 30 minutes ago i dropped my controller on accident and it disconnected like it always does i opened the battery case and what i saw almost gave me a heart attack the flap with the plus symbol on it had broken off and i immediately tried to fix it but THE FLAP WENT IN THE CONTROLLER i started getting a knife to open it up and get the flap out of the controller but it didnt work can you guys tell me how to open it or if i can get a repair from microsoft or tell me how to put the flap back on thank you

    how do i find my controllers serial number in the battery compartment the numbers faded off and i cant see it is there anyway i can get it without opening the battery compartment?

    If the battery terminal broke off, it is necessary to get your controller fixed. Depending on how long ago you purchased your controller, you might be able to get it replaced with Microsoft here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne...

    Go down on the page and press the Sign-in button, then type the controller serial number. If you are not eligible for a controller replacement, you would need to get it serviced on a console repair store, or purchase a new controller.

    The serial number is located on the sticker inside of the controller. If you can't read it, and you are completely sure that you've bought your controller longer than 90 days ago, then it cannot be fixed or replaced by Microsoft.
