Xbox one controller adapter for computer

No the 360 adapter is not compatible with the xbox one controller. But if you get the newer Xbox / Windows controller, it has built in bluetooth to connect to a windows computer without and adapter.

Do you happen to use a Computer Adapter for the Controllers ? A similliar issues happend to a friend when the pc Adapter tried to connect to the Controller while this one was beeing in use by the xbox.

contacting Xbox support for assistance with setting up the order if you fall within the 90 days from purchase. You can request a callback or go through chat instead

Check if the adapter has a reset button (usually is a really tiny hole) and try pressing it.

Hello, by new system I mean that it is an entirely different computer. I originally tested the adapter on my main computer, and the new one is a small form factor one meant to be used with a tv. I’m unsure if the controller has been updated to the latest software as it’s not connected to an Xbox, however I believe the Xbox app is updated to the latest version. The main two changes would be that the adapter is being used on a different computer than the one I initially tested it on and the controller is an older model.
