    Xbox one controller 5.11.3116.0 firmware - not working on win10


    fyi: 2 of my controllers have updated to 5.11.3116.0 and whilst they are recognised by my laptop using Bluetooth quickpair (which is superb) and all the install of drivers seems to occur with it showing as connected in Bluetooth setting , they don't seem to work and are not recognised by the gamepass app.

    Both work fine with the Xbox One and the double click switches.

    I was now at my friend who has the XBOX Series X and there the Controller was updated, or better to say downgraded from 5.11.3116.0 to 4.8.1923.0

    Looks like broken firmware. I have xbox one controller on win10 too and it's broken after first firwmare update. I see a lot of similar topics in this forum but i don't see any solution or official recomendations. Sad.

    I have the same problem. I think it was caused by a controller update (version from 17.11.2021). I enjoyed the new fast switching feature between Xbox and Bluetooth devices (double click pairing button).

    Switching controller between Xbox/Bluetooth devices - OK

    Xbox connection - OK

    Android mobile connection (bluetooth) - OK

    PC Win10 USB connection - OK

    PC Win10 Bluetooth connection - does not work. the pairing will be fine but controller does not work.

    Xbox One S, 2pcs XboxOne controller, Windows 10 completely updated.

    EDIT:

    resolved issue - update Windows 10 21H2.

    From my experience, Xbone S controller bluetooth problems have been solved in the latest Win10 updates. Only one problem remains at this time: the issue where the controller will initially keep disconnecting. And, indeed, I confirm this can be resolved once
    and for all by repairing. Make sure your OS and firmware are up-to-date and you're good to go. Hope that answers the thread.
