    Xbox one console loses all settings when rebooted.


    My xbox one has stopped remembering anything. Every time i start it or reboot it resets the time zone, language and location settings. I also have to logon again with my microsoft account. Any guest profiles i had are also gone. I have tried resetting
    to factory settings, but it hasnt helped. Has anyone seen anything like this? Any help would be appreciated.

    Sorry to hear about the issue with the console rebooting. Are you by chance in the Xbox One preview program? If so, you'll want to post about this in the preview forums so the proper teams can take a closer look with you if so.

    To clarify, when you reset the console did you mean a power cycle where you turned it on and off? Or a reset where you

    Factory Reset     the console to default state?

    When you say hard reboot what did you do? I would use this technique: With the console on, press and hold the power button on the console for 5 seconds until it shuts off. Unplug the power supply, wait about 30 seconds and then plug it in and reboot. You
    should see the green Xbox One splash screen upon reboot. It may take a minute to boot all the way to the home screen.

    At this point, you may have to do a default settings- you wont lose your game saves- they are in the cloud, but yes it will take time.

    I also get the same problem and when I do, I also lose the power settings for the TV and cable box. It's as though it doesn't know they are there. I do the hard reboot by unplugging the xbox one for a minute and then everything works fine
