Xbox one console loses all settings when rebooted.

To clarify, when you reset the console did you mean a power cycle where you turned it on and off? Or a reset where you

Factory Reset the console to default state?

I did a factory reset. I will also move this to the preview forums.

When you say hard reboot what did you do? I would use this technique: With the console on, press and hold the power button on the console for 5 seconds until it shuts off. Unplug the power supply, wait about 30 seconds and then plug it in and reboot. You
should see the green Xbox One splash screen upon reboot. It may take a minute to boot all the way to the home screen.

At this point, you may have to do a default settings- you wont lose your game saves- they are in the cloud, but yes it will take time.

If it doesn't work, I think you may try reseting your console to the factory settings :

http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/system/reset-console-to-factory-defaults. You have to know that you'll lose all your data. If you're connecting to Internet, your game saves are synced to the cloud so you should not lose your games progress.

I also get the same problem and when I do, I also lose the power settings for the TV and cable box. It's as though it doesn't know they are there. I do the hard reboot by unplugging the xbox one for a minute and then everything works fine
