    Xbox One connection awful without Ethernet cable


    Hey guys. About a week and a half ago, my sister's Xbox One started getting awful wireless connectivity issues. It began with her getting signed out of her account and, when trying to sign back in, it took forever as well as didn't let her do it. After that,
    we finally got her signed in, but when we tried to play together we were getting insane lag, which has never happened before.

    We looked at her network statistics and her download speed was, no joke, 0.46 Mb. She also had 16% packet loss, and her latency was around 800ms. We were seriously so confused and frustrated because we couldn't play together as it was actually unplayable.
    We finally decided to plug her Xbox into the ethernet cable downstairs, and.. everything was perfect. The connection was flawless.

    However, obviously she doesn't want to play downstairs, and she doesn't want to stay connected to the ethernet cable the whole time. What's weird is that the wireless internet on my Xbox works perfect- it's just her's that isn't working without the cable.

    None of these have worked. Ive tried everything, the cable just connect. Why has my ethernet cable just stopped working with the console, it makes no sense. What a awful service microsoft has for xbox. Second faulty xbox one within a year.

    Without a doubt I would tell you to use the Xbox app so broadcast on laptops. Use Ethernet cable and the same data connection. The pad connects it to your PC or Xbox
    I know that it works pretty good with ethernet cable but the problem is that I dont have one right now

    When someone asked on top if you were directly connected to to the XBOX 360 via an Ethernet cable, just to confirm you did try directly connected to the cable/dsl modem correct? And not a router? If it's connected via a router, please remove the router from
    the equation and connect your XBOX 360 with an Ethernet cable directly to your cable/dsl modem (without the router being in the equation)

    Are you not able to run an ethernet cable from you wireless adapter to your xbox? You said you are using a usb adapter with a usb cable. I don't believe that will work (if I'm understanding what you said). If you have a wireless adapter that has an ethernet connection, you can run an ethernet cable from the adapter to the xbox.

    I have used a wireless adapter to connect my xbox for years without no issue. What I use has an ethernet connection on the adapter and then I run an ethernet cable to my xbox.
