    Xbox one connecting but not working on Wi-Fi


    So I have had my Xbox one X off for a couple weeks now and I connected it again to my Wi-Fi and it connects, test connection says it’s all good, but it won’t open any apps with Wi-Fi. I have disconnected from the wireless and put the password again. I don’t know why else to try at this point. The thing is old but it’s been running fine on Wi-Fi up until the middle of January. Then we moved and I’m just getting around to setting it up for my daughter. The only thing I haven’t tried is unplugging the router because it takes forever to reset.

    If that worked would that prove that the Wi-Fi receiver in the Xbox is at fault ?

    Is your wi-fi working fine cause i run on wi-fi and it works fine apart from a high 200 ms latency how is your wi-fi connection ?

    If you are attempting to connect to wi-fi, you need the password for that wi-fi. If you are trying to connect to wi-fi that is not password protected, you need to have access to the modem itself, as you need to reset the modem or the xbox will not recognize
    it.

    I tried everything as you suggested, but the issue persists. The Xbox One will connect to my mobile hotspot, but not to my Wi-Fi suddenly. My phone, Fire Stick, Xbox 360, and Switch can connect just fine to Wi-Fi.

    you might need to connect 1 of your Xbox's to Wi-Fi and the other thought a wired connection or get a better Wi-Fi router.
