Xbox One can’t connect to Xbox Companion App on PC

Ive tried just about everything and can’t get my Xbox to connect to the App on my PC. I go to connections and add device but when I click connect I get the message “We couldn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the
same network as this device”

The Xbox shows up in connections, so I know my PC is communicating with the xbox. I’ve also changed the name on my Xbox, and the name change appears on the app as well.

It’s able to connect and stream on my laptop, so I know the issue is with my PC or the App, not my xbox.

I’ve also tried:

-Signing out of both the App and Xbox Profile

-Removing then re-adding profile on Xbox

-Uninstall / Reinstall App

-Entering IP address manually on app

-Verifying date and time are the same and correct

-Verifying they’re on same network

-Power cycling both PC and Xbox

-Changing multiple firewall/security/device sharing settings on PC to allow xbox

I think for some reason my PC is not communicating with other devices on my network, but is able to see them. Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t use a third party firewall/antivirus and I’ve tried disabling the firewall completely, but I’ll give that another try as well

I tried that but maybe I didn’t hold the power button for the full 30 seconds. I’ll give that another try when I get home.

But I think the issue has something to do with the PC not the xbox

Since you mention "multiple firewall/security/device sharing settings":

Do you use a third party Antivirus/Firewall product?

Have you tried temporarily to disable the firewall completely (if you are connecting to the internet through your router, that's safe to do, as your router is already the Firewall to the internet, and the PC firewall only protects your PC from attackers
inside your local network).

Are the how do have them connected? Wifi or ethernet cable.
