Xbox one can’t connect to profile

Hi all

I'm getting the following error code when trying to sign on the Xbox one.

Note: I have no games pass subscription content.

0x87DD0017

What did I checked and do already:

- Internet connection is working through the xbox.

- A reset of the Mac adres on the Xbox is done.

- A reboot of the Xbox is done.

- A full reset of the Xbox is done.

- Network components are rebooted.

Still no profile login… this issue looks started after the last update…

Who has any idea to fix this.

I can’t connect to Xbox live on 360 back compatible games. The rest of the Xbox one behaves normally. I know it’s not a problem with my console because both my old 360 and the 360 emulator on the Xbox one do it.

I thought maybe the problem was on my end so I did a soft reset. Now the 360 emulator on the Xbox one has no profile on it. I can’t download my profile to it because it can’t connect to Xbox live. So I can’t save at all in back compatible games.

Is it a regional problem? Is it down for maintenance? The status page doesn’t mention anything.

I also speaking with MS support team.

They saying that the only solution for this is to go to a repair center.

I really don’t think that this is solving this issue because the Xbox looks working fine.

For example, when I compleet reset the Xbox (factory reset incl delete the games etc.) the setup is running normally. Even the default apps like Spotify are installed afterwards normally and also when I start Fifa23, the console downloads the latest update. Only when I start 1 of the apps we need to sign in with a Xbox account….

Note: we also tried other Xbox accounts, same issue.

What in the world can cause this behavior and needs to be fixed bij an Xbox repair center???

Someone any suggestions or ideas are more then welcome😉

The steps you mentioned are followed, still same issue,

It seems that this issue started after the last update was installed (correctly) on my Xbox one.

The 2 screenshots shown the connection state (check 1) and the update information (check 2)

Note: sorry for the Dutch language 😉

Do you have other suggestions to get this works correctly again?

Because I still wanted to know why this was happening I did some investigation and found the cause….

I have in my local network a firewall rule active that blocks network traffic to specific countries lik china, Russia, Japan and so on. This rule is active for months and doesn’t have any changes shortly. Now I find out that login to Xbox live accounts can be going via servers in south-Korea. South-Korea was also a country that was in the block list of our firewall….

So, I hope that this update can help other people also when having this issue.
