Xbox One Can Not Turn TV On/Off

Discus and support Xbox One Can Not Turn TV On/Off in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; This is what I did under Settings.     Xbox One Can Not Turn TV On/Off


    This is what I did under Settings. Under TV & One Guide --> Device Control --> TV I entered my TV brand (Insignia) and then selected I don't know the model to have Xbox discover my TV remote access code. Xbox successfully went through the various tests
    (e.g. mute off/on) and discovered my remote access code. Xbox One then automatically setup my Device Power Options to automatically turn my TV On/Off. However, when I power the Xbox One off and on it did not turn my TV off and on. It also did not recognize
    the volume control using an IR extender cable.

    I also tried manually entering my TV brand (Insignia) model number (NS-LCD52HD-09) and the Xbox assigned a different remote access code. This did not work either.

    I have a basic set up using an XBox One, Insignia TV, Internet, a Hauppauge Tuner / Mohu OTA antenna, a Xbox Media Remote. This all works including the OneGuide. It will not turn the TV On/Off or control the volume. I do NOT have cable TV, receiver,
    sound system, etc. Just the TV.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Can Xbox one turn on and off my Tv-TUNER?

    My Xbox one can turn on and off my TV and Stereo Reciever but it can not turn on and off my TV-Tuner? (From Get - Norway)

    Am I missing something or is it not possible?

    Xbox One turning off/on Xbox 360 when not connected.

    Are you sure it's the 360 console turning on/off and not just the TV? If it's the TV, it's probable that the IR blasting that your Xbox One is doing to turn off its connected TV is also reaching the second TV and turning that one on and off.

    Silent so when you turn the tv off via the xbox the tv light goes off. the dvr light goes off and the ONE light goes off?

    And then simply saying XBOX ON it turns on then say tv on the tv and dvr turn on?

    XB1 turns TV off when I turn it on

    My wife's console does this (Samsung TV) but it doesn't do it on my console and Panasonic TV and it is for the reason Jaymo1978 mentions, some TV's use the same command from the remote to turn the TV on and off. So when the Xbox One powers up, it sends the
    command and turns your TV off if it was already on.

    You can do as Jamo mentiones and disable the option altogether or you'll need to remember to use your TV remote to turn your TV off before you turn your console on.

    i find with mine when i switch inputs i need to turn my tv off then on for it to pick it up.

    Have you set the Xbox One to control the power toggle of your TV? If so, it will send a signal to your TV to toggle the power state of the TV. Basically, if your TV is On before turning on your Xbox One then the signal sent to the TV will turn it off. If
    it is Off before turning on your Xbox One, then it will turn On the TV.

    Check the settings to see if this is the case. It should be under Settings -> Power & startup -> Power mode & startup -> TV & A/V power options
