Xbox one button combinations

I recall on the title screen for Contra if you pressed Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start it would give you 30 lives.

Those were the days.

Gaming has changed so much that I don’t think developers implement things like that anymore. As games now have elements of online/multiplayer to them, button presses like that would bring imbalance so they are not added anymore. Be interesting to know if
any games in the the last decade or so had secret button presses mini game modes or special messages.

The only button combination that remains that i know of is the one that brings up the secret developer settings it should have been changed or patched but if it's there for a reason then it's part of the console but still if anyone were to touch anything
there could render the console in a boot loop or bricking the console causing you to buy a new console

I am personally not aware of any but have read before that ppl have somehow managed to fet to the developer settings so i i dunno but i i wouldn't mess with it personally

It's one of those functions i believe many gamers and support representatives some of them are aware and unaware that pressing and holding the guide button for 6 seconds till it turns off the controller only some say there were button combos that let you
check network statistics and game file info but i believe that changed and made it easier now also back then you had to double tap the guide button to record or take screenshots but now it's a shortcut just simply pressing the guide button you see the options
there i heard they mentioned a combo of either the bumpers or triggers and then X button I'm not sure they probably changed those functions too

But didn't the controller turn off by pressing and holding the guide button for up to 6 to turn off the controller only other than the menu screen?here's a video what I'm referring also depending if any of you guys can see it

Since many people use the menu screen and from there they turn off the controller easily but others used this method but is it official or a glitch?

As the dashboard has changed over the years some of the button functions have changed. You can still hold the Xbox button to turn the console off or just a controller. I don't remember there being many button shortcuts though.
