    Xbox One Avatar Editor won't show original avatar, says "we couldn't load your original...


    The Original Avatar Editor loads instantly and works fine, showing my xbox360 avatar, however, opening the new avatar editor it takes a minute or 3 just to open then once opened if i select Xbox original Avatar the new default avatar i had to select points
    and reacts as if my old avatar loaded up but it infact just says couldn't load your xbox original avatar

    ive cleared the console with a hard reset and ive gone as far as to try to do it on the pc but the new avatar app requires windows 10 and i dont have windows 10 so thats not even an option

    am i missing something or is the loading of original avatars kinda broken currently?

    The only thing i can think of so far that i haven't and refuse to try is to erase my entire console and reinstall my profile as there should actually be zero reason to have to do that under any circumstance

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble with the avatar editor apps is that correct? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps?

    Uninstall Xbox One games or apps to free hard drive space    . Let us know with a reply how it goes!

    Anyone else?

    I keep trying to log into my Xbox avatar editor and it keeps loading forever until it says, "We couldn't load your avatar. Something went wrong... We couldn't load your avatar" How do I fix
    this? I've tried everything, including a soft factory reset.

    If you could find a way to help me that would be great. I've been trying ever since like a couple days after its release and I keep getting the same response.

    I purchased cloththing for my avatar but they are not showing up in wardrobe

    It might be because you need the new style of avatar for some clothes

    If you want to update your new Xbox Avatar, we’ve created an app for that: the

    Xbox Avatar Editor    .

    However, if you want to continue using your existing avatar and any of the content you’ve purchased or been awarded for it, you can do that in the

    Xbox Original Avatars     app.

    Deck out your Xbox Original Avatar, and then import it to take the place of your gamerpic or new avatar.
    To import your original avatar:

    1. Launch the Xbox Avatar Editor app.
    2. Select Xbox Original Avatar, then choose your original avatar.
    3. Select Import.

    Give it a few seconds, and voil ! Your Xbox Original Avatar once again represents you across Xbox.
    If you want to use your Xbox Original Avatar as your gamerpic, use the Xbox Original Avatars app. Only the new avatars are able to use the Photobooth feature in the Xbox Avatar Editor.

    Changing to original avatar

    Hello Diego,

    when I use "xbox original avatars" app I can see my old avatar and can make changes to his appearances and save them.

    The option you mentioned "use original avatar" is in the "xbox avatar editor" app but when I choose this option it just keeps trying to load my original avatar. It's like the program just won't recognize it. The circle is just keep spinnning around where
    it is supposed to display my original avatar.

    I know it's not a big problem. I'm just disappointed that I can't use the items that I purchased for my avatar in the 360 era :)
