Xbox one asking for disc but I have bought it from Microsoft store.

I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you Go to Settings > System > Storage.

- On the Manage storage devices screen, select: Clear local saved games.

- Restart your console.

Hi King, thanks for your reply. I did the second option and uninstalled/ reinstalled the game and it worked.

Now, when I put the disc in, I am asked ''do you own this game'' before being directed to the Xbox store to BUY IT! This is really the worst gaming experience I have ever had, not only can I not play the game, Microsoft as asking me to buy a game I have
already bought.

Thanks for the replies chaps but I guess its time to pack up the Xbox one and try to get a refund, playing a game shouldn't take over 24 and then ask you to buy something you already bought, I have signed into my friends Xbox one and it works perfectly,
with the disc so it isn't that.

Sigh.....waste of time.

Is the disc scratched?? If so it might have been during manufacturing if so then you could ask the store you bought it from for a refund. If its not scratched I would recommend contacting Microsoft because it could possibly be a hardware failure.

I hope it works.

If you bought it from a physical store, take it back (with your proof of purchase) and ask for a replacement disc.

It's rare but sometimes new discs are defective.
