    Xbox One Apps Feel 'Clunky'

I've got a Day One Edition, and although I am impressed by many of the features and games on the One, I am at a total loss as to the Achievements, Friends/Party and Store apps.

Firstly, the Achievements app, to me, seems like a total backwards step over the Xbox 360. The 360 was really good - achievement pops, hit the guide button and see what I've done. From there, I could also check out all other achievements in the game, so
see what I'm looking for next, or I could go back to playing the game. The Achievements system on the one goes though a long winded process of opening up the Achievements app, and only showing me what I've just done. To see all other achievements in the game,
I have to go to my Home screen and open the Achievements app to then scroll through the list. Ideally, I would like to see an evolution of what was on the 360, rather than this user-unfriendly process I have to go through.

Secondly, the Friends and Party apps have a few issues. I was playing a game of AC IV, and I'm told a friend has just joined a party. What party?? I looked on my friends list, and there is that friend in a party. I've only just turned my One on for the first
time today. Why am I still in a party from yesterday, and why on earth can I not select and leave the party from the Friends, app? Why to I have to find the Party app and leave though that?? Why even show the party on the Friends app, if I can't do anything
    with it?

Finally, the Store is a mess. Please sort it out. I don't want to Bing all of my content. I Bing 'Game Trailers' and I get a load of rubbish movies or TV shows. Luckily, there's not much on there at the moment, so it's not too difficult to find things if
you look hard enough. I dread to think how difficult this will be in 12 months time. Give us options to browse Demos, Game Videos, Retail Games, Arcade Games, etc. It might look a little sparse now, but it's surely better for people to have a chance to browse
though the store properly, rather than no-one know that it's there?7

Sorry for the rant, but these are my only real issues with what has been a good few months of gaming and entertainment. I really urge MS to do something about these issues. I would really appreciate if people do feel the same way, that they make themselves
heard, as doing nothing is surely not going to make these issues better?

    :)

Starting to get feed up with the XB1 UI

I feel the exact opposite when I jump on my 360, feels clunky and slow compared to my One.

  3. Ninja Theory's DMC reboot to get a demo on 20 November. 21 nov for PSN.

Like MGF, I found the demo a bit clunky in feel, not a day one purchase.

The update that is coming today should hopefully alleviate some of the issues you're seeing. I know that there is now a button when you open an achievement to view other achievements for that game. The Friends and Party apps have undergone big changes to
make them faster and easier as well.

I can't speak to the Store (that's service side) but I'll pass your suggestions along.

Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming!

Do you play first or third person?

"Your field of view is extremely limited, combat seems... clunky and uncomfortable, to say the least".

    Combat feels clunky in FIRST...?

Skyrim currently has a 95 on Metacritic!

The "clunkiness" in melee combat isn't clunkiness. It's got a much harder realistic feel to it than Oblivion - timing and movement is everything. I liken it a bit to the combat in "Dead Island", which no matter what you think of that game had the best melee
combat feel of any game (preceeding this one) IMO.

If you're "clunking", you're probably mashing.

How do you guys feel about Copilot in the Xbox app?: Anyone else not vibing with it? I feel like it’s only a matter of time before we start to see it more on the console itself. submitted by /u/Southpau [link] [comments]

I love the xbox app but feel it needs a bit more!: Love it works wonders, but I feel there Live tile could be of more use, the integration with Xbox apps on PC needs to be more streamlined. Otherwise all good! 4339859e-6199-434d-81d9-621ec3fa24a1
