    hey iv got a question ? iv been looking around the internet for the past 3 days for the new update for my xbox. but im having a really big problem for when it turns off to apply the update. iv tried everything to get nit back on but it will always go back to the main home page offline. what should i do ? because im not used to downloading the updates. am i doing something wrong or is therer a away to get it back on and keep applying the update ?

    A faulty HDD doesn't need to have a specific sound if it start to fail.

    I'm no expert when it comes to HDDs but I've had a few fail on me ever the years without making a specific sound.

    Offline system update is another way you could try.

    You've got to download the system update onto a usb flash drive on a pc then update the console using the flash drive.

    Just look on the Xbox website for the OSU1 update and follow the instructions on how to do it.

    We recommend following the steps mentioned About system updates on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One | Xbox Support to keep your console updated automatically. After adjusting the settings, access Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

    After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

    If the issue persists after the troubleshooting steps mentioned before, it would be best to to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

    Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

    its not the HDD. its just when it restarts. because of how it sounds its ment to turn back on and get back to the update. but it just turns off and doesnt turn on unless i try to turn it back on. but then it goes back to the menu or says that its time to update. so i dont know what to do
