Xbox one and lag with comcast

    Xbox one and lag with comcast


    I m so disappointed with the x box one it's not even funny. How is it the 360 has more apps and runs better on comcast than the one... my issue is this I try to watch cable threw the xbox one but when I go to watch anything I have to use the comcast box
    and it's channel changer the ones controller and channel system don't work or link up and when I use the comcast remote I have to press each button twice or more for it to register that I pressed a button.. I hope this isn't the way it should run so how do
    I fix this...

    Several consoles through the same router

    I have done this with two Xbox 360's and a laptop all connected to the same router. I had no issues with lag or anything. I have one of the fastest comcast speeds though, so maybe that is why.

    Xbox LIVE vs. Comcast - how do I fix the random ping spikes?

    Xbox is connected wirelessly (can't connect with an Ethernet).

    I have the Xfinity router, so I guess yes to your second question?

    It says the router name is : ARRIS and then under that it says TG862

    This lag happens on all games I have so far, the lag differs from game to game though, Ghosts being the worst of them all.

    It started happening when I switched to Comcast.

    And so far no, the internet network and console aren't working together I guess you could say.

    I know this Comcast ping spike is a known issue for a lot of Comcast users, so I know it's not just me who experiences this issue of ping spiking with Comcast.

    G'day Crazzy! If your set top box is having trouble communicating with its own remote, then there may be an issue with the box and not your Xbox One console. Does it behave the same way if you remove the console (temporarily) from the setup?

    Could be your region but I've had Comcast internet for over 8 years, in three different houses, and never had a problem with lag.
