    Xbox One - Advanced Exchange Charge


    Earlier this year, while on a length business trip, my kids' Xbox One stopped functioning. I opted for the Advanced Exchange program, and was very pleased to have received a replacement unit in a few days.

    I returned from the trip, sent the defective unit in, and confirmed with Microsoft that it was received. Apparently it was a few days later than the requested 14 business days, and I was charged $425.00. I appealed to customer service to consider some relief
    on the charge, since they confirmed receipt of the defective unit. After one customer service specialist repeatedly assured me over email that the charge would be refunded, there has been no follow up and no refund. I also made a refund request, but the case
    was closed with zero feedback.

    At this point I have paid over $800 to have one operating console. Where else or how else could I appeal my case?

    The only thing we could reccomend is to contact xbox support again. They can be reached by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us

    I'm pleased to report that my fourth (fifth?) effort got to the right people, and yesterday I received a full refund of $425 for the advanced exchange!

    Now I feel a lot better about continuing on with the xbox system and the fees my kids rack up!
