Xbox one account boot

Why am I consistently being booted from Xbox live every 20 minutes? This has been happening all week. and to top it off I'm getting signed out of my profile as well even when I'm offline. what gives?

it tied to your account . so after reformatting it and such . its gone on the one. till you boot up a one again(if you ever get it once more) and then dl it again

Buying and setting up used XboxOne, will there be issues??

If the previous owner was smart he reset the console to default when he sold it so you dont have access to his Live account. From there the Xbox automatically goes through the setup process when booted up.

It sounds like you are sharing the same account on 2 Xboxs. Only account be active at a time if you both log into xbox live with the same account one of you will get booted.

Is this the case?

Hello PolestarAE, your console is plugged into some type of electrical stabilizer or directly the electrical outlet, ideally it is directly in the outlet.

As you say your Xbox turns on but doesn't pass signal, try changing the HDMI cable or even experimenting on another TV or monitor.

And if it calls but stays on a black screen, try following this procedure.

Bind Eject Xbox One

Turn off the console and unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely turned off.

Wait 30 seconds and plug the power cord back in.

Hold down the BIND (located at the bottom front of the console) and EJECT (located on the front of the console) and press the Xbox button on the console.

NOTE: Bind is the pairing button of the control.

Continue by pressing the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10 to 15 seconds.

Listen to the two tones of "activation", with a few seconds of difference between them.

Release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second activation tone.

If your console is the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, it doesn't have the EJECT button. You can turn on Xbox Startup Troubleshooting on this console by keeping only the BIND button and then pressing the Xbox button.

When you're on the recovery screen, choose the "Reset while keeping games and Apps" option.

Note

-You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

-No data or game save will be lost doing this, everything is done in backup to the cloud servers.

If it does not return to normal after this procedure, proceed with an offline update.

"I've tried the USB factory reset, along with the Sync/Eject shortcut with the exact same results. The error that keeps coming up is (E102 10040C02 80004005). E102 is a failure to boot/ error when booting up, hence the previous troubleshooting."

If you are in a Insider preview, you cannot use USB factory reset, (OSU) unless you unenroll from the preview first.

E102 error generally means the hardware is failing and you will need to setup a repair if you can't get to the troublshooting screen when you boot up.
