Xbox on Windows 10 - Store account different to xbox live account

Hi, recently i bought a new to pc to play xbox game pass on as i have xbox game pass ultimate on my xbox. However, i'm now being told my store account is different to my xbox live account and therefore i can only my game pass does not sync between both. When i try to use my xbox live account as my store account it says personal account cannot be used???? I am confused and require assistance... Many thanks >.<

If you're using a Microsoft account on a Windows 10 PC an Xbox Live account is automatically created for things like purchasing from the app store and using the Xbox App. You're not required to use the account, but it is tied to the account that you use to
sign into a Windows 10 PC with.

Is the Windows Store on your Windows 10 logged in to the same account as your Xbox? Load up the store and place your cursor in the top right corner where there should be a picture of a person with a green head. This represents the account the Windows Store
is signed in to. If it is incorrect, click on this button. A small window will show, allowing you to log out. You can then sign in with a different Microsoft account.
