XBOX on PC Windows 10 - error 0x00000001 with games that require administrator privilegies

PC Windows 10 Pro, updated. Xbox App, installed with "Run as Administrator". My local user is an Administrator, but not the admin account. I have Game pass ultimate subscription. The error happens with all games that says it "needs administrator approval to install". Error is 0x00000001.

It happens with me on 3 different updated devices (Windows 10). Games that don't say they need de administrator approval install correctly. I've tried some "google" solutions, with no success. Hope you can help

This issue is caused by a few services but the main issue is caused by a service named Gaming Services. First Make sure your Windows 10 is up to date,

go to start --> type services --> open it or you can do start --> run --services.msc, after that is open, select first thing you see and press x, will take you to xbox services, will be 4 of them, make sure you start them by right clicking on them and double click to open them and then change the startup type to automatic. Go to start again --> type Microsoft Store --> open and search for gaming services if you can't find it try to use google and install it. After you install it go again to start --> type apps and features and open it, find the gaming services --> open it --> find restart and repair and click on them and wait for them to finish the process and you will see 2 green check marks next to them, now go back to services and look up gaming services, you will find 2 services with this name --> right click on them --> start --> double click and make sure the startup type is automatic and that should be it.

Hi Tali,

There is only one account which is administrator account in my computer, but I still cannot download the games that require administrator approval. There is not option that run as administrator for neither Microsoft store nor Xbox(beta) APP. The error code I got is 0x00000001. I've tried to reset the game service in windows setting and installed all the optional updates for Windows 10, but it still doesn't work.

I have the same problem, they show me the error 0x00000001 and write to me that "Installation requires administrator
approval" I cannot install any game. please help quicklyI tried uninstalling applications, granting administrator
privileges and my account also has an administrator, I searched many forums and found no answer anywhere

Do you have administrator permissions on your PC?
Some games require additional components to be installed for the game to function properly. Depending on the components being installed, you may be prompted for permission from an administrator during game installation or when the game
is first launched.

And updating does not seems to fix the problem.

I really don't think the windows link given above are the right solution, as this is a generic windows error code (why would audio driver block Xbox games from installing... ?)

And apparently, if Windows 10 system resides on an external hard disk it somehow messes up the installation process for "Administrator approval required for installation" games (Error 0x8007001f
with Xbox Game Pass PC).

At the moment, in my case, it seems there is no solution to this problem :-(

I can't change my install (I moved Windows 10 on an external USB drive as I wanted more space for OSX on my laptop).

I have to wait for an update of XBox app if any.
